Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme (PMKVY)

Prime Minister Skill Development Scheme (PMKVY) Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a flagship scheme of the Government of India which aims to make the youth of the country employable by providing them skill training. This scheme was launched in 2015 and is operated under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The main objective of PMKVY is to provide industry-based skill training to the youth so that they can get employment and become self-reliant. The importance of short-term training Short-Term Training is an important component of PMKVY. The aim of this training is to provide industry-specific skills to youth in a rapid and effective manner so that they can get jobs in various industries. This training is provided in more than 150 sectors, including manufacturing, service, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
